1. About Us

Afghan Humanitarian Aid (AHA) is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan organization under IRS tax exempt number 33-4077318. AHA is dedicated to restoring hope and dignity across Afghanistan. For the past four decades of conflict and war, countless families have been torn apart—leaving many children orphaned, widows without support, and whole communities plunged into poverty. Driven entirely by a team of on‑the‑ground volunteers, AHA delivers life‑saving services—feeding the hungry, sponsoring orphans and widows, drilling clean water wells in remote villages, and supporting Afghan returnees with emergency relief. Through our Economic Empowerment Program, we equip vulnerable families with tools, training, and small grants so they can build sustainable livelihoods. We accept donations from around the globe to power every project and ensure that 100% of your gift reaches those most in need.

2. Use of Our Website

By accessing and using our site, you agree to:

  • Use it only for lawful, charitable purposes
  • Not interfere with or disrupt our servers or security
  • Provide accurate information when making a donation or contact request

3. Donations and Payment Methods

  • Donations on our site are processed securely via Stripe Elements (Debit/Credit Cards, Wallets, Bank Account) and PayPal.
  • You may choose a one-time or recurring (monthly) donation.
  • We do not store any payment information on our servers.
  • To manage your (Credit/Debit, Wallet and Bank Account) recurring donations, please click here
  • To manage PayPal donations, please log in to your personal PayPal account. Go to Wallet > Manage autopay > Subscriptions.
  • Our dedicated team is happy to help you if you face any issues.

4. Refund Policy

All donations are considered final and non-refundable, as they are allocated immediately to humanitarian aid efforts.

However, we understand that mistakes can happen. Refunds may be issued at our discretion in the following cases:

  • Duplicate transactions
  • Incorrect amount
  • Unauthorized payment

To request a refund, contact us within 7 days.

5. Payment Security

Your donation is secure:

  • We use SSL encryption across the entire site.
  • All payments are handled by PCI-compliant providers: Stripe and PayPal.
  • We never see or store your full card number or banking details.

6. Privacy and Donor Information

We respect your privacy and will never sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Your data will only be used to:

  • Process your donation
  • Send receipts or confirmations

7. Account Access and PayPal Login (If Used)

If you choose to donate using PayPal:

  • You agree to PayPal’s terms and privacy policies.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • AHA does not access your PayPal login data.

8. Tax Information

Afghan Humanitarian Aid (AHA) is a charitable organization. Please consult with your local tax authority to determine whether your donation is tax-deductible in your country.

Please note: Afghan Humanitarian Aid (AHA) operates as a Doing Business As (DBA) name under our officially registered nonprofit organization, Afghan Hunger Relief. Donors may verify our 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status by visiting IRS.gov and searching for our legal name, Afghan Hunger Relief, in the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search tool.

We provide email receipts for all donations irrespective of the amount.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this site (text, images, logo and design) is owned by Afghan Humanitarian Aid or used with permission. You may not reproduce or reuse content without our written consent. If you have any questions or concerns regarding copyright of any content used on our website please contact us immediately.

10. Limitation of Liability

AHA is not liable for any indirect or incidental damages resulting from your use of this site or donation platform, except where required by law.

11. Updates to Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with the effective date updated. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
